We are all unique and at the same time we are different from each other that is why we have our own taste when it comes to music. Let us now different genres but before that, im going to leave a question and you should answer that. Allow me guys to know what genres or song you prefer to listen. So here is it. These are the common genres in music.

Note: Guys, dont be confuse if the artists that i will mention are being repeated. Of course some singers don’t stick in one genre only. Music is wide. Also, there are different types under in one genre, for example, alternative rock but still that is rock. Thank you!

1. Electronic dance music ⭐♥

> broad range of percussive electronic music genres made largely for night clubs , raves, and festivals. (wikipedia) These are the artist i know in EDM. The chainsmoker, Justin Bieber, Marshmello, Madonna, Kanye West, Zedd, Major Lazer and many more.

2. Rock Music ⭐♥

> a form of popular music that evolved from rock and roll and pop music during the mid- and late 1960s. Harsher and often self-consciously more serious than its predecessors, it was initially characterized by musical experimentation and drug-related or anti-Establishment lyrics. (wikipedia). Panic! At the disco, Imagine Dragons, Linkin Parks, Gun N’ Roses , My Chemical Romance, etc. Those bands or artist that I’ve mentioned , they are into Rock.

3. Jazz Music

> Jazz is a music genre that originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans United States ,in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and developed from roots in blues and ragtime. (wikipedia)
~ To be honest I am not into Jazz Music, so i can’t say cite songs or artist regarding this.

4. Rythm and blues ⭐♥

> also known sa R&B

> It combines elements of rhythm and blues, pop, soul, funk, hiphop and electronic music (wikipedia). Drake, Beyonce, John Legend, Ariana Grande, Christina Aguilera , Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, Daniel Caesar, Sam Smith, Post malone, and many more. They are R&B artists.

5. Pop Music ⭐♥

> is a genre of popular music that originated in its modern form in the United States and United Kingdom during the mid-1950s (wikipedia). Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, Bebe Rexha, Maroon 5, Charlie Puth, Bruno Mars, Jason Derulo, Dua Lipa, Halsey, The Chainsmoker, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift,Camilla Cabello, Justin Bieber, etc. They are Pop Artist and i know guys that you love them lol 😂

6. Hip Hop Music ⭐♥

> Hip hop music, also called hip–hop or rap music, is a music genre developed in the United State by inner-city African Americans in the 1970s which consists of a stylized rhythmic music that commonly accompanies rapping a rhythmic and rhyming speech that is chanted (wikipedia). These are the examples of Hip Hop artist, XXXTentacion, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B , Lil Pump, Post Malone, DJ Khaled, Drake, Eminem, etc.

7. Classical Music

> Classical music is art music produced or rooted in the traditions of Western culture, including both liturgical and secular music (wikipedia). Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Debussy , Tchaikovsky, Schubert are one of the classical artist.

8. Country Music

> Country music, also known as country and western (or simply country), and hillbilly music is a genre of popular music that originated in the southern United states in the early 1920s (wikipedia). Example of Country Music Artists: Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan,Chris Janson,Brett Young, Blue Tacoma,Thomas Rett.

” without music, our life would be lifeless”

Before we start this blog, let’s define Music first. According to the Concise Oxford Dictionary, Music as ” the art of combining vocal or instrumental sounds to produce beauty of form,harmony and expression of emotion”. But of course it depends on people on how they appreciate music. Well for me,”music is something that i can’t live without”. As a matter of fact, It is a part of everyone’s life since young. Whenever I ride a bus or jeep I always listen to music. I can’t stop my self doing that because that is my escape ,just like what they say, “the only thing for us to escape the reality is through music”. It seems like it brings me to another world. Also, music helps me a lot because sometimes when i am not in the mood and i don’t feel to talk with anyone,listening to music gives me an excuse to ignore them and I have a chance to think deeply like, whats my purpose in this world, what should i do so that i can handle those drama’s in my life, what am i going to do to get better, etc. Also, when im alone, music is my companion. It stays at my side when people left me, It may be literary or not.

I can say that through music we can express our emotion, its either happy or not. We can also express our personality, example; you’re the type of girl who likes dance music, well i could assume that dancing is your passion. In the same way because of the music you can know the feeling of one’s person, for example, you heard the song someday by nina that she/he played you can conclude that she/he is broken hearted. Next, If i am too stress and i need a break,I could just lie on my bed while playing the song that i used to listen everyday. I could temporary forget the problems that i don’t want to remember for a while. Lastly, through music we can find our happiness, what if you belong to that field, what if you are meant to be a songwriter, what if someday you’ll become a famous musician, etc.
